Start a session on a host, and attach to it

simstim new <host> [-- command…] [flags]

Examples 

  simstim new my-vps --agent claude --dir ~/src/app
  simstim new my-vps --agent claude --secret ANTHROPIC_API_KEY
  simstim new my-vps --detach -- htop

Options 

  -a, --agent string         the agent: claude, codex, opencode, antigravity, gemini, amp, cursor, aider, goose or shell (default "shell")
      --base string          the commit or branch the worktree starts from (default: HEAD)
      --detach               start it without attaching
  -d, --dir string           the folder on the host (default "~")
  -h, --help                 help for new
      --inline               start the agent in its inline mode, so your terminal keeps its scrollback (see agents.inline in config.toml)
  -n, --name string          a name for the session (default: the folder name)
      --no-setup             do not run the repository's setup script this time
      --secret stringArray   pass a secret from config.toml's [secrets] into the session's environment (repeatable)
      --setup                run the repository's setup script this time, whatever your answer for it
  -w, --worktree             give the session its own git worktree and branch
